PROPHETIC UTTERANCE A WORD OF COMFORT, EDIFICATION, ENCOURAGEMENT, EXHORTATION, AND LEARNING (1 Corinthians 14:3, 31) “You Are Blessed With Abraham; Therefore, Rejoice When You Are Persecuted” Moses Hightower These words were spoken in my hearing, I have freed you from the hand of the oppressor. His hand has been smitten, and now you are in the hands of the liberator of all things. I have not left you in the hands of an enemy to be tormented. I have rescued you again from the hands of evil. No one else will be able to judge and sentence you because you are under my jurisdiction. Do not listen to the voices of your enemies, which call out to you for vengeance. They are not able to enforce their threats. I have stripped them of the power that they once held by my victory won on the tree. I have given unto you my power, and no one is able to change what I have decreed. I have sent you in the midst of wolves, so be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. You are a sheep; therefore, look to me, your shepherd, to defend you. Watch out for men, for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will terrorize you in their church buildings. They shall bring you before the chiefs and other leaders for my sake. This shall be for a testimony against them. Do not take any thought how or what you shall speak, for I shall give you in that same hour what you shall speak. It will be me that shall speak in you; therefore, worry not when they shall deliver you up. Rejoice in that day, for this is how you know that you are greatly favored. You have been given power to tread on serpents and scorpions. You have been given power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Do not become overzealous because I have given you power, and the spirits of darkness are subject unto you, but rejoice with the angels, for your names are written in heaven. I have favored you and given you the blessing of Abraham. Your eyes are blessed. You see things that many prophets and kings have desired to see and have not seen them. Your ears hear, for you hear those things that they have desired to hear and have not heard them. I have truly revealed myself unto you. Rejoice, for I have opened your eyes and your understanding. You are truly my sheep, for you hear my voice. Do not follow the voice of a stranger. I have made you to lie down in green pastures. You dwell in the secret place of the most High. You abide under my shadow. I am your refuge and your fortress. Trust in me, for I will surely deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. I will cover you with my feathers, and under my wings you may trust. My truth is your shield and buckler; therefore, do not be afraid for the terror by night or the arrows that fly by day. Do not be afraid for the pestilence that walks in darkness or for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. You have made me your habitation, and now a thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand. Destruction shall not come nigh you. Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. No evil shall come upon you, and none of the devils plagues shall come nigh the place where you dwell. I have given my angels charge over you to keep you in all of your ways. Now rise up, and walk on the stones of trouble. Tread upon the lions and snakes. Trample under your feet the lions and dragons. I have set my love upon you, and now I will deliver you. Call upon my name. I will deliver you in time. . . * PROPHETIC INSIGHT By Don Grigsby RE: RHEMA - You Are Blessed With Abraham; Therefore, Rejoice When You Are Persecuted Persecution will never be the companion of those who compromise principles and concepts. Abraham would not live on the porch of Sodom or gather fruit from its bountiful gardens. He chose the mountains and desert-looking areas that God caused to blossom and flow with milk and honey and blossom as a rose. As God called the light out of darkness, he can call blessing out of cursing. All that behold the blessing of God are not the friends of the kingdom. All those who are detractors of those who pursue godliness will see their criticism turned into vapors that are swept away by the sunlight of righteousness. As Paul was attacked by countrymen and strangers who did not understand, we face the barrages of harsh words many times, but the storm will cease before the peace speaker. Our spirits should rest in him because we know we have heard his voice that is leading us deeper into his fellowship. If our enemy cannot get our attention of the Saviors face by the attractions of the world, he will use the interference of the remarks that cut and pierce us through with a sword. God not only heals the broken hearts of the lost, he is the balm in Gilead for the bruised for his names sake.
