PROSTATE CANCER. The prostate gland is located below the bladder. The urethra runs through the centre of the prostate, from the bladder to the penis, letting urine flow out of the body. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men especially after the age of 50 years. A patient with prostate cancer will have an enlarged prostate which will interfere with urine flow from the bladder. If the urine is blocked completely doctors have to insert a catheter in the bladder to drain the urine. Later surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy will be recommended by the doctors.
