PROUD AS PUNCH!!! I know you have all been waiting for my big news and I must I was starting to freak out a little, however things do happen for a reason. Last year I decided that I was ready to take the step towards becoming an accredited professional photographer. (AIPP) is the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. For 12 months I was an emerging member, learning and participating in workshops and mentoring groups here in Townsville and trips away. At the end of 2013 I submitted a portfolio of my work for assessment. Today I can reveal my certificate of membership. The accreditation Process An accredited professional photographer is someone who consistently produces great images, and, someone who is prepared to ensure they are properly trained, they understand the importance of investing in their photographic education, and someone who constantly improves by submitting their work for peer assessment. An Accredited Professional Photographer is: Assessed and Proven – Accredited members are judged by an assessment panel to ensure that each accredited member achieves and maintains an expected level of craftsmanship Operates a registered business Has liability insurance, as appropriate to their business Agrees to follow the AIPP Code of Professional Practice and AIPP Terms and Conditions of Membership Agrees to abide by the AIPP Accredited Membership Business Requirements Experienced – every Accredited Member has a minimum of two years industry experience before applying for Accreditation Experienced – Has the skill, creativity, style and ability to get the job done on time and on budget Always Learning – through the AIPP Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program, all Accredited Members must take part in workshops and seminars throughout each year to ensure they continue to develop along with the industry If you want to be sure you are using an AIPP accredited professional, look for the logo! Now showing off my new accreditation is just one element. I also thought it was time for a logo revamp to match my new (AIPP) status. Here it is Little Details Photography!!! Thank you all for your great support of the years, it does take a lot of hard work, practice and great clients to get where I am today. Ok mushy talk over!!! Thank you. If you are interested in viewing the images I submitted for accreditation I will post them in an album later tonight!!
