Various other retailers have also received the same announcement. SOME but not all. A recent phone call to GAME revealed that they will STILL guarantee your console, Day 1, if you place a pre-order today. Again there has been NO official statement from Sony regarding this issue and I defy anyone to source as such. Simply quoting something a store has told you has been sent to them, without evidence of such, is not proof and wrapping something in quotation marks does not make it official...ahem...so I would deploy grains of salt on this until -> SONY
