PSA: Ive went back and forth in my mind on whether or not to say this, but knowing who I am as a person, it wouldnt even sit right in my spirit if I didnt speak on it. I dont think Im cut out for this thing called POLITICS! YES, Im still running for school board, but I will NOT be jumping through no hoops or calling certain people to win my seat! I had to catch myself! However, I understand people want to hear me and I will be walking in my district (District 6) and knocking on my voters doors and stating why I am running! After that, it is up to the voters of District 6 on whom they feel is the best candidate! Im NOT about to call nobody and ask them to put me on their roster. BUT if they just so happen to call me and invite me to come speak on my views, I will accept the invitation. Also, Im funding my OWN campaign. Im NOT about to be out here asking for donations, BUT if someone would like to donate, I will accept. Another thing, I knew politics was a beast, but I must admit I didnt think it was as bad at this level. For those that feel Im running because of the money, I will have you all know that the seat pays $200 a month! Now any extra income is great income, but clearly Im not running for the money! Ive already spent $400 of my OWN money on my campaign. Im running because I love kids and I think ALL kids should get the best education possible!! My kids went/go to the Magnet School. They are the ONLY A+ school in MOREHOUSE PARISH! So they were already getting a good education. Jalen still attends but Javia is at Bastrop High now. Im not the least bit worried about her because she is an honor student and as long as she maintains her good grades, all she needs to focus on is her ACT score so she can attend the college of her choice! So you see its not just about ME and MINES but its about ME, MINES, my nieces, my nephews, MY cousins, YOUR KIDS, YOUR nieces, YOUR nephews, YOUR cousins, YOUR GRANDKIDS!!! Some of you keep saying you are mad about OUR school system, but how many of you are going to vote on NOV 4th??!?!? How many of you are registered to VOTE!! Feel free to inbox me if you need to be registered. How many of you have check your voters registration card to make sure your address match your drivers license. NOW let me say this! Whether I WIN or LOSE, I am going to be good either way because at the end of the day I wouldve stood by these words...TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE AND if I LOSE, I will still remain a voice! Thats the difference in having a PASSION for something and doing something for SHOW or MONEY!! Happy Sunday Facebook Family!!!! VOTE #64 on November 4th!!
