PSA: Please Invest in Professionals. Over the last 12 years working with and managing within various security companies and protection agencies, it saddens me that CEOs and Operations Managers continue to opt for that meager profit and not take any pride in who they employ or just hire people just to be a body for that ridiculous contract they only bid $3 over the disrespectful pay they offered. All Money is not good money!!! Why would you as a company, take a contract with a with a bill rate that would only allow you to pay an officer below poverty standards. All you are going to normally attract is a sub-standard person who is probably always late, no call no show, lacks professionalism, tact, customer service, and poses a liability in any encounter they may face. And you as a company are wondering why your name is bad within our network, your turn-over rate is in the 70-80% range, your on the dept of labor most wanted list, and everyone around you is stressed out and ready to look elsewhere. Quick Remedy......Invest in real Professionals Stop taking contracts just to say you have another contract. Is it really worth it? It may cost u your business in the long run. Taking time to filter applicants carefully, investing in proper training, caring for people as professionals, and paying them a fair & decent wage will eliminate 70% of your problems and introduce you to the term Longevity....which you probably didnt know existed. A true professional that is taken care of and paid properly will help you and your company reach heights previously thought unattainable. GREED and only thinking about your bottom line or profit margin combined with not taking care of your people, might make you a quick buck but it will only be for a season. The inevitable for that route will surely come to pass Just my thoughts....what do u think?
