PSAT Information on Baker Website ....October 16, 2013 The PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for 11th grade students who wish to participate in the nationwide competitions conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). This program includes the National Merit Scholarship Program, the National Hispanic Recognition Program, and the National Scholarship Service and Fund for Negro Students. *SOPHOMORES: The PSAT/NMSQT is intended primarily for juniors; however, sophomores are highly encouraged to take the exam in order to help develop skills needed for the exam as a junior and to begin college preparation. Students who take the test as sophomores need to take it again as juniors to qualify for National Merit scholarship programs. Taking the exam gives the student access to a wealth of information from College Board’s website. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, September 23, 2013 GRADE LEVEL: Juniors and Sophomores* TEST DATE: Wednesday, October 16, 2013 TIME: 8:00-12:00 WHERE: BAKER HIGH SCHOOL TEST FEE: $17 (checks payable to BHS)
