PTA XI natl referee & refresher seminar THE Philippie Taekwondo Association (PTA) in Region 11 is conducting a National Referee & Refresher Seminar at the NCCC Mall in Davao City on Oct. 18 and 19. It is organized by the PTA Regional Management Committee Region 11 headed by Officer-in-Charge Master Hyoung Joo Kim with Regional Committee chairman Stephen Hernandez. The lecturer is Ricardo Santiago Jr., chairman of the National Referee Council. At least 30 participants mostly coming from Mindanao are attending the two-day course. PTA recently produced a bronze medalist in the just-concluded Incheon Asian Games held in Korea. Twenty-two year old Mary Anjelay Pelaez from Davao City won the bronze in the womens -46 kgs. taekwondo event. Pelaez, who will graduate her BS Management course at the San Beda College this month, plans to open up her on taekwond gym in Buhangin. - LITO DELOS REYES
