PTP, Subject: Suggestion / Request to come up with a long term systemic solution for addressing & preventing daily sight of Mockery of No Parking Traffic discipline on Kumthekar & Laxmi road. Dear Sir, It feels very pathetic to see that many vehicle owners take undue advantage of the shortage of manpower with PTP and park their vehicles right below & near the No Parking traffic signage on Kumthekar & Laxmi roads as shown in the attached video clip. It is also observed that prosecuting 10 - 15 vehicles on some day after the complaint is posted on PTP FB does not really solve the problem of traffic indiscipline. There is an urgent need to put in place a long term systemic solution like installation of high resolution video Cameras at strategic locations on these roads and connecting them to the PTPs nearest control point like Vishrambag Police station , a public address system to warn the vehicle trying to break the No Parking Traffic discipline and surprise checking by the PTPs patrolling squad , increase the fine amount in the range of Rs 1000 - 2000 /- depending on the vehicle etc. Look forward to an actionable solution / plan from PTP in near future.
