PUBLIC INTREST CRITERIA FOR AUSTRALIAN VISA (PIC AND INTEGRITY PIC) Since 2011, PIC 4020 has enabled refusal of a visa if an applicant provides a BOGUS document or information that is FALSE or MISLEADING in relation to their application. Public Interest Criterion (PIC) 4020 is a criterion that attaches to a number of visa subclasses. If PIC 4020 is part of the criteria for the particular visa you have applied for you must satisfy PIC 4020 in order to be granted your visa. If your visa is refused because you do not meet PIC 4020 on identity grounds, another visa that includes PIC 4020 as part of the criteria will not be granted to you FOR A PERIOD OF 10 YEARS after refusal. VISAS AFFECTED BY PIC If you have applied for any of the following visas, you must satisfy PIC 4020: 1.Skilled migration 2. Business 3.Temporary visas 4.Student visas 5.Family visas.
