PUBLIC NOTICE TO NORONT RESOURCES INC: 1. It has come to our attention that a private, closed-door meeting took place between Noront Resources Inc. representatives and the Attawapiskat First Nation Chief and Band Council. 2. The Attawapiskat First Nation failed to notify my family and I of your arrival and of the subsequent meeting that was initiated today. 3. This is to inform you that the Attawapiskat First Nation Chief and Band Council do not represent the interests of our family in reference to our traditional territory of Ekwan River. 4. Therefore, they have no authority to negotiate on our behalf in any way, shape or form with reference to the traditional territories of the Iahtail-Wabano lands. 5. We reserve and assert our rights to a full Free, Prior and Informed Consent with any aspect pertaining to the activities of the Ring of Fire Project. 6. Participating in a closed-door meeting with the Attawapiskat First Nation Chief and Band Council does not merit, qualify nor constitute by any means a meaningful consultation. 7. Any proposed developments that affect the Iahtail-Wabano lands must be immediately made available in a complete and comprehensive disclosure. 8. The commencement of meetings without our knowledge nor participation warrants an examination of the intentions of both parties as todays actions quantify to lacking integrity and respect.
