****PUPDATE ON GIZZY**** Here is a short snippet of my Gizzy girl. The Docs think she is doing wonderful for how bad she was when she came in. I also found out today that they really didnt know if they could save her when we brought her in. She had a plasma transfusion this evening and seems to be doing well. It is possible later tonight that she will have to have a blood transfusion too. I will be calling early in the morning prior to work to check on her and will try and make a visit as well. We have to speak with a surgeon tomorrow to address some severe wounds she has and also discuss further the plan on what treatment and the financial part will look like. They dont classify her as critical anymore, but I still remain cautious probably because I am a worry wart. She is such a fighter and is doing well. The current bill is @ $3463.00 + the original vet of $777. Her bill @ VCA will continue to go up as treatments are given and hopefully tomorrow I will leave with a more solid plan and total. I do not expect everyone to cover everything for me by anymeans, but I want to be transparent on the funds, treatment, and etc. I thank everyone for their continued support, donations, and shares. It has really allowed me to rest and focus on Gizzy. I will find a way somehow someway to repay each and everyone of you and thank you for giving my girl the gift of life. Once she is released and sent home I will begin posting all her updates on our rescue page @ Forgotten Souls Bully Rescue . She will have frequent Gizzy pupdates so everyone can continue to follow her and her recovery. It is the least I could do to people who have done so much for me. In my efforts to be transparent, I also want to address the issue of my other dogs. I appreciate that I have not seen or been receiving any negative comments in regards to the attackers. They are all good dogs, but I believe jealousy and pack mentality played a vital role in this event. Unfortunately I am looking at other options for the three and to be quite honest I am not sure as to what Gremlins fate will be since I believe she was the instigator and for sure the one that did the most damage. I also know dogs are ANIMALS and do not think like people or children. I have a very low tolerance for fighting, and something this severe should not be taken lightly. Should I decide she remain here in my home, I will be contacting a trainer to help me deal with my pack and also teach me how to be a better leader. This has really taken a toll on me because my two girls are my dogs. My soul dogs. To see sometihng like this happen has disturbed me on a whole other level. Im still in shock as to how to handle this situation. I appreciate the very valid concerns few have expressed and also the fact that they are doing so privately. I am trying my best to respond to everyone. Gizzy will be safe when she comes home and treated like the queen she is. She will remain separate from the others for quite some time to allow her to heal and recover physically. I really believe it is a long road ahead of us both physically and emotionally for Gizzy but I will continue to update everyone along the way. I thank you all for helping me heal her physically, so when she leaves I will begin focusing on repairing her .
