PURITY AND PERSEVERANCE OF THE HEAVENLY CITIZEN That is the message before us this weekend, BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Sons of God: And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure ( 1 John 3:1-3 ) Everyone who desires to be a citizen of heaven must be cleansed from sin and be pure. Purity is freedom from sin. Freedom from sin starts with salvation experience. And the believers who is thus saved must abide in Christ as Whosoever is born of God doth commit sin: for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot Sin, because he is born of God! One who is born again is conscious of the presence of Christ, and his desire to go to heaven. Every believer who hopes to see God and dwell with Him must follow peace with all men, and Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord And in his life, Holiness must be spelt out: Honesty without hypocrisy: Obedience without obstinacy: Love without lust: Integrity without iniquity: Newness without negligence: Endurance without enmity: Self - denial without self - indulgence: and Steadfastness without stubbornness,
