PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD (PART 4) Ephesians 6:14 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Here is where we see what the armour of God entails: •“Loins girt about with TRUTH” – In your loins is where the seed comes from to reproduce life. Therefore, in order to destroy the work of Satan in someone’s life and produce the life of Christ in them, truth must be tightened in your loins. He that believeth on me (the truth), as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (St. John 7:38). We must believe the Word of God as it is written. It is then and only then that the truth will come forth and bring life to those who are lost. We are clean through the Word. However, it will only cleanse the desire of sin when it is delivered in its purity. •“Breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS” – The truth can never be delivered from the position of the flesh. If the messenger does not walk in the integrity and righteousness of the Word, the Word will not be effective in the lives of the hearer. As ministers of the gospel, we are the first partaker of the Word. The Word comes to us first. And as it comes to us, we are to examine ourselves to see if we are in right standings with the Word. If we are not walking in the righteousness of the Word, it means that the Word has not become flesh in us. We are to be a demonstration of what the Word is capable of doing in someone’s life.
