Pacer. He is one of a litter of four kittens pulled from the shelter to keep them from being euthanized. They were all extremely ill with upper respiratory infection. As they became well they were sent to rescue. Pacer became very attached to my husband. Because of the constant handling required for the medicines, sinus cleanings, etc the other three became reluctant of being held. Not Pacer. He started following Steve about the house, always nearby. When he became big enough to do the steps on his own he would follow Steve down stairs and they would sit by the fire place. This became a ritual. All last winter Pacer was faithful about helping Steve tend to the fire. When he was well enough to leave for rescue I just couldnt separate them. He and my husband were good for each other so Pacer is a permanent resident of the Misfit Manor. I tell him he is Steves Brat to which he responds by knawing on my fingers.
