** Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) is out for Sunday’s game against the Vikings. He’s resumed running and throwing but is still at risk of aggravating his injury. Consider him questionable at best for Week 13. QB Scott Tolzien gets another start this Sunday and is a 2-QB league option in the plus matchup. ** Bears QB Jay Cutler (ankle) is out for Week 12. Expect a run-heavy game plan from Chicago against a Rams defense that’s much better against the pass than the run. Josh McCown is just a mid-range QB2 in fantasy. ** Raiders QB Matt McGloin will start Sundays game against the Titans. The undrafted rookie tossed 3 TDs on just 18 completions last week. It was a fluky stat line. Wed continue to avoid McGloin in all fantasy leagues, especially against Tennessees 4th-ranked QB defense on Sunday. QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is listed as questionable and might be available for backup duties. ** Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Packers. He returned to practice on Friday, and all indications are that he’ll play on Sunday. We’ll find out his official status by noon ET. Assuming he’s active, Peterson should stay locked into fantasy lineups. He remains a good bet for 20+ touches. ** Raiders RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) did not practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game against the Titans. RB Rashad Jennings is a good bet for another 20+ touches and is a borderline RB1 vs. the league’s 27th-ranked RB defense. ** Colts RB Trent Richardson (calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Cardinals. He aggravated the injury on Thursday but was able to practice on Friday. HC Chuck Pagano said Friday afternoon that he “feels good” about T-Rich playing. Still, it’s just another reason to avoid one of fantasy’s biggest disappointments. RB Donald Brown is the better option. ** Lions RB Joique Bell (foot) is listed as questionable but is fully expected to play against the Bucs this weekend. He put in a full practice on Friday. Bell should play his normal change-of-pace role behind Reggie Bush, making him a low-end RB3 or flex in PPR leagues. ** Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) is listed as questionable for Sundays game against the Cowboys. Hes expected to play, but if he doesnt itd be good news for RB Andre Brown. Jacobs vultured a TD last week but finished with just 9 yards on 5 carries. Hes not a fantasy option. ** Broncos WR Wes Welker (concussion) graduated to a full practice on Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday nights showdown with the Patriots. He passed through all concussion tests. Keep Welker glued into fantasy lineups. He figures to be a big part of the game plan against his former team. ** Giants WR Hakeem Nicks practiced on Thursday and Friday after having a sore abdomen checked out on Wednesday. He’s listed as questionable but is fully expected to play against the Cowboys this weekend. That plus matchup makes him worth keeping in fantasy lineups. ** Chargers WR Keenan Allen (knee) put in a full week of practice and is probable for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. The knee shouldn’t be an issue. Despite the tough matchup, Allen’s role as San Diego’s #1 WR keeps him in WR2 territory. ** Raiders WR Denarius Moore (shoulder) is out for Sundays game against the Titans. He was unable to practice all week, so consider him questionable for Week 13. WR Andre Holmes will replace Moore in the starting lineup this Sunday but cant be trusted in fantasy. Rod Streater is a good bet to lead Oakland in targets and is a borderline WR3. ** Steelers WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Browns. He put in a full week of practice and should be available for his usual role. Sanders has some WR3 appeal with Antonio Brown likely to be shadowed by shutdown CB Joe Haden. ** Cowboys WR Miles Austin (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and is probable for Sunday’s game against the Giants. We’ll have to see how Dallas divvies snaps between Austin and Terrance Williams in 2-WR sets. Austin will move into the slot in 3-WR looks. He’s a risk/reward WR3 in his 1st action since Week 7. ** Lions WR Nate Burleson (arm) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Bucs. He was limited in practice all week but reportedly worked with the 1st-team offense. Burleson is fully expected to play and should step right back in as Detroit’s #2 WR. He’s a WR3 option against a Bucs defense that’s been torched recently by slot receivers. ** Jets WR Santonio Holmes (hamstring) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. His practice reps were limited this week, though, so he won’t be at 100%. Holmes isn’t a recommended WR3 fantasy start. ** Jets WR Jeremy Kerley (elbow) is doubtful for Sundays game against the Ravens. He returned to practice this week and has a shot to return for Week 13. David Nelson is expected to serve as New Yorks #2 WR this Sunday but isnt a fantasy option. ** Vikings WR Greg Jennings (Achilles) is questionable for this weekend’s game against the Packers. He practiced on Thursday and Friday, and HC Leslie Frazier confirmed that Jennings is expected to play against his former team. He remains a weak WR3 in fantasy. ** Ravens WR Marlon Brown (knee) put in a full week of practice and is probable for Sunday’s game against the Jets. He should step back in as Baltimore’s #2 WR but is a low-upside fantasy play. ** Redskins WR Leonard Hankerson is out for the season with the knee injury he suffered last week. WR Josh Morgan is expected to take his place in the starting lineup, but he’s more blocker than pass-catcher. WRs Santana Moss and Aldrick Robinson should also see increased roles with Hankerson out. But none of those guys is a fantasy option. ** Jaguars WR Mike Brown (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Slot receiver Ace Sanders would benefit if Brown can’t go, but he’d be an ultimate desperation fantasy play. Look for WR Cecil Shorts to dominate targets this weekend after complaining about his role last week. ** Broncos TE Julius Thomas (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Patriots. He was limited on both Thursday and Friday, and it sounds like he did more on Friday. Thomas will likely be a game-time decision, which puts fantasy owners in a tough spot with the late kickoff. Thomas’ upside probably makes him worth gambling on, though, unless you have another top 5 option. If Thomas ends up inactive, Broncos TEs Joel Dreessen and Redskins TE Fred Davis are emergency fill-in options. ** Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) had yet to be cleared to practice as of Friday. The team still has 1 more practice today, but Reed is looking unlikely to be available for Monday nights game against the 49ers. Fred Davis is expected to replace him as the primary pass-catching TE. Check back this afternoon for another update on Reed.
