Paid parental leave. The party topic for Saturday night. What do your friends think? Sure 2% of women earn more than $100k but most arent having bubs. Those few that might be are public servants or with corporations and have long enjoyed full-salary PPL. Under Abbotts plan, the 15% on the minimum wage get eight extra weeks PPL and their superannuation which Labor refuses to pay to women. The other 83% on incomes between the minimum and $100k get their real wage just like public servants do. Best of all, its majority-funded by big corporations, to ensure no burden on small business. Keeping women in the workforce boosts GDP three times more than PPL costs. It is an economic investment in women, not a welfare hand-out. Lemme know.
