Paid parental leave for those already employed will be a phenomenal cost to the government while they have cut the baby bonus and made the parenting payments harder to get and reduced the single parents pension. What they should be doing if they want Mothers to get off pensions and go back to work is provide free childcare and retraining to help disadvantaged families and single mums work. Just another example of Liberal support of the well to do and those who can already afford to take time off work to have a child and who already have paid maternity leave.
