Pakistan men’s kabaddi team spent a busy day in training camp at Punjab Stadium here on Wednesday. They played practice games between them to enhance their match practice under the supervision of head coach Ghulam Abbas Butt. Trainer Mohammad Siddique was also present on this occasion. The camp is being held for the preparation of Kabaddi World Cup 2014 being played in India later this year. Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, in a statement regarding the kabaddi training camp, admired the methods of training being imparted to national kabaddi team. DG SBP said that Pakistan had great potential of kabaddi and the prospects were quite bright for our male and female teams to clinch coveted World Cup titles. Expressing his satisfaction on the level of training at the kabaddi camp, DG SBP said: “Our coaches are imparting some latest techniques to our players and this time we are quite hopeful that our players will win the showpiece event”. He further commented that Pakistan players have already played plenty of kabaddi in India and they are well aware of the weather conditions in Indian cities. “It will be an additional advantage for our players,” he added. DG SBP advised the players to take the field with confidence and full preparation. “These are the two key ingredients which always played a vital role in the success of any victorious team,”
