Paktia is an Ancient Pashtoon Aryan Empire امپراطوریءپکتیای باستان: ر Khurasan was a Province of the Pashtoon Empire: خراسان یکی ازولایاتِ امپراطوریء پشتونهای پکتیاوفیروزکوه بود: ر Excerpt from the Book: ‘Afghan True and Unique History’, Author: Ghulam Nabi Mubtakir, September 2013 {Paropamisus: Ghore, Hazarajat, and Kandahar Were Central Areas of this Pashtoon Empire}. Karachi was the Ancient Seaport of Pakhtia. Herodotus (484-424 B.C.) the First Greek Historian whom the Roman Orator, Cicero, called ‘The Father of History’ has described the Geographical Boundaries of Paikipika (Pakhtia): (1) Paktia or Paipika: It was called by this Name four Century Prior to Jesus Christ. (2) The Inhabitant of Paikipika were called ‘Paikteen’. Today’s ‘Pakhtoon’ is the same Paikteen mentioned by Herodotus. (3) The Paktia of Herodotus was located along the Shores of Indus River distributed in Four Districts and was governed by a United Government: It had a similar extension such as Pakhtoonkhwa of today: (4) All the Regions of Suleiman Mountain Ranges and Safeed Koh from at one side, (5) In the North to the Sources of Swat River and Panjkora and Doma Mountain Ranges. (6) From the other side to the Southern Shores of Logar-Kabul River up to Jalalabad. (7) In the East to Indus River. (8) In the West to Helmand River. (9) Southern Border was the Region of Kakar. From here to Pishin, Shal, Bori Valley, to Indus River. Khurasan was a Province of the Pashtoon Empire: خراسان یکی ازولایاتِ امپراطوریء پشتونهای پکتیاوفیروزکوه بود: ر (10) The Province of Zabul (Kandahar) was also within the Boundaries of Pakhtia. Mr. Belo is clarifying the Boundaries of Pakhtia more precisely in Natural Afghanistan and writes: “When we look at the Ancient Geography of this Country that the Persians call her {Ariawarta} and the Greeks call it {Ariana}, and later it was called {Khurasan}, and now it is called {Afghanistan}, its Main Locations are: (1) In the North, the Province of Bakhtar or (Balkh, Badakhshan, Maimana) and the Province of Margiana (Murghab and Merv). (2) In the South, the Province of Bagdrasid (Gadrosia – Baluchistan). (3) In the West, the Province of Ariana (Herat and Khurasan), and the Province of Drangania (Seistan). (4) In the East, part of the Province of Bactria (Chitral and Nooristan). (5) Central Paktia was the Province of Paropamisus (Ghore and Hazarajat), the Province of Arakosia (Kandahar), not only including the Province of Zabul, but also the Province of Gandahara (Peshawar, Swat, Bajawar, and Kabul) were parts of the Ancient Pakhtia). When the Arians came to Afghanistan, this Empire was divided into three parts that included: (i) The Province of Bakhtar in Northeast that included Merv, Murghab, Maimana, Balkh, Qataghan, Badakhshan, Chitral, and Nooristan). (ii) The Province of Ariana in the West and Centre including Herat, Khurasan, Seistan, Ghore, and Hazarajat. (iii) The Province of Pakhtia in the East and South including Bajawar, Swat, Peshawar, Kabul, Deiras, Sind. (iv) In the South included Kandahar and Baluchistan All Divisions of Land and Clans of People have emerged from these Three Large Sources that are: (1) Bactrians (2) Arians (Arians of Herat) (3) Paktians (Pakhtoons) Mr. Bilo also gives the Boundaries of Ancient Bactria as: (1) Bactrian Province that the Indians call it {Bah Lamka} is in the Northeast of Afghanistan including Regions between Oxus River to Balkh and the Northern Areas of Indus River and is extended to Mountain Ranges of Domah that extends to East and the West of Swat Area and Panjkora (Swats and Kwarees as called by the Greeks). (2) In the South and West, Bactrian Boundaries are Parallel to the Mountains of Paghman up to Jabal-ul-Tamor and Shirin Dahan of Ghazni Valley up to the Valley of Pari of Jagdalak, and farther to this Area, Kabul River reaching Chitral or Kunar Rivers were also included. (3) In the North and East its Boundaries are Bolaria Bloor (present Nooristan and Chitral). In the Centuries prior to the written History Era, when the Arians entered Bactria and Ariana from Central Asia and from there scattered in all Areas of Afghanistan, a great number of them entered in the Valley of Pakhtia. In the beginning, they altered the word of Bactria (Bakhtar) called their New Country {Pakt}. Later it was changed to [Paktia}, and the People themselves were known as Pakteen. This Name, Pakht and Pakhtoon, is mentioned by the ‘Father of Historians’ two thousand five hundred (2,500) years ago, it became their National Name in the later years changing it a little to Pakt and Paktia. As mentioned by Mr. Bilo, the Names of Pakhtoon and Pakhto are the same {Pakhtoon} mentioned by Herodotus. Therefore, we can understand that the name of Pakhtana in the Ancient Times has been parallel to the Name of Paktia and Paktana (Pashtana). The Pakhtoon Terminology is a National Afghan Word that has been changed to Pashtoon and Pashto. Prior to Islam, Clans of the Gandari Pakhtoons scattered in the Valleys of Central Afghanistan (present Hazarajat) and the Shores of Arghandab and Helmand Rivers and started their Agricultural and Herding Professions. Mr. Bilo mentions the latter migrations have taken place during the Early Century of Christian Era. The Rest of the Pakhtana (Pashtoon) Clans scattered in the Mountainous Areas of Ghore and Areas in Seistan and Baluchistan. But, during the Era of Islam, the migration of the Pakhtana Clans took place internally within the Provinces of Takharistan, Bakhtar, Ariana, Baluchistan, and the other Areas. The Pakhtanas (Pashtoons) were not satisfied with the Internal Migrations and turned their attention to the East, crossed the Indus River and established a Community and Government in Multan that later included All the Main and Important Areas of Punjab and from there they went to Areas in India. Islamic Encyclopedia of Britannica says, “Many of the Pranchi and Soor Clans of the Pakhtana remained in India. Tribes of Afridi, Aragzai, Bangash, and Tareen had strongholds in Punjab Areas where more than 100,000 established Communities of {Ghori} Clan in India known by the Name of {Ghori}. A lot of the Clans of Kakar, Zamand, and Abdali took residence in Punjab. But, the Pakhtoons residing in North of India, who numbered to many thousands, forgot their own Language. Later on, the Pakhtanas (Pashtoons) scattered to Areas in Northeastern and Northwestern Areas of Fars (Persia) from whom the Branch of Bangash formed a Community in Mazindaran. Paktia Province or Paikipika is located in the Southeast of Afghanistan, in North to Gandahara Province (Peshawar Province to Kabul), in the South it connected to Arabian Sea, and to the East it is connected Indus River, to the West it is connected to the Province of Baluchistan and Zabulistan (Kandahar). {The Historical Geography of Afghanistan written by G.M.
