Palin and others speak in Sevierville at Americas Last Stand By JASON DAVIS Editor SEVIERVILLE — Former Alaksa Gov. Sarah Palin headlined a Tea Party rally at the Sevierville Convention Center Thursday night, urging those in the crowd to stop this fundamental transformation of America Barack Obama (has) promised. The event, titled Americas Last Stand, featured Palin, former Pennsylvania Senator and candidate for the 2012 Republican nomination Rick Santorum, former Rep. Allen West and former judge and television host Jeanine Pirro. County musician John Michael Montgomery also performed the hits of his career for the crowd of just over 1,000. The event was designed to boost support for the Tea Partys conservative stance with upcoming state and national elections this August and November.
