“Paperman” is a 2012 black-and-white 3D hand-drawn/computer animated romantic comedy short film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and directed by John Kahrs. The short blends traditional animation and computer animation with a new in-house technology called Meander. The short won both an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 85th Academy Awards and the Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject. Synopsis | A lonely young man in mid-century New York City bumps into the girl of his dreams on the train platform. Convinced that she will be gone forever after she takes another train, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office.
