Parallel Lines Milky Way and Hastings glow, from Apley Road, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand It feels like its been a while since I managed to get out and shoot some astrophotography, but I managed to get out on Saturday night to Apley Road to snap a few shots. The glow on the left is the town of Hastings. This is a stitch together of 6 images (1 for the road/foreground, and 5 for the Milky Way) covering an angle of about 120 degrees (the centre of the Milky Way was directly above my head). Foreground image: ISO6400, f2.8, 30sec, 14mm Milky Way images: ISO3200, f2.8, 15sec, 14mm Processed in LR5 / PS CC, stitched in Microsoft ICE and finished in LR5
