Paranormal Activity (2007) චිත්‍රපට නැරඹීමේදී ඒ සමඟ ගොඩක් සංවේදී වුනු අවස්ථා බොහොමයක් අත්විඳලා තියෙනවා. Horror කියන දේත් එක්ක උප‍රිමයෙන්ම හිතට බ‍ය, ත්‍රාසය දැනුනු, ජීවිතේට අමතක නොවෙන අත්දැකීම් විදිහට Cannibal Holocaust සහ The Devil Inside මගේ මතකයේ රැඳිලා තියෙනවා. තට්ට තනියම කලුවරේ රෑ 12ට බලපු හින්දම, මේ චිත්‍රපටවලින් සෑහෙන Effect එකක් භෞතිකව සිද්ද වුනා. ඒ අතරිනුත් Paranormal Activity චිත්‍රපටය මම දකින්නේ, සිනමා ඉතිහාසයේම වෙනසක් ඇති කරපු නිර්මාණයක් විදිහට. පොඩි කාලෙ ඉඳන්ම Horror කියන සිනමා අත්දැකීමට බොහොම සමීප සහ ආස කරපු කෙනෙක් විදිහට, මේ චිත්‍රපටය මාව පුදුම කලා. අවංකවම මේ Live cam footage concept එක මම මුලින අත්වින්ඳේ මේ හරහා. අනික මේ තරම් සොබහවික විදිහට. මට මතකයි, බලලා ඉවරවෙලා සාලෙ ඉඳන් කාමරේට එන්න සේරම ලයිට් දාන්න වුනා. අන්තිමේදී මගේ කාමරේ ලයිට් එක නිවාගත්තෙත් අම්මට කියලා. සමහරු එකඟ නොවෙන්න පුලුවන්. නමුත් හරියටම රෑ 12 ඉඳන් නරඹපු මේ චිත්‍රපට අත්දැකීම නම් මගේ ජීවිතේට මම ලබපු Uniqueම Horror experiance එක කියලා කියන්න පුලුවන්. නමුත් සමකාලීනව නරඹපු බොහෝ දෙනා මේකට ඒ තරම්ම කැමති වුනේ නෑ. අනෙක් සිනමා නිර්මාණ එක්ක සංසන්දනයේදී, මේකෙදි දැකපු Filmmaking quality එක ගැන මම මොන තරම් පැහැදිලි කරත්, තර්ක කලත්, වැඩි දෙනෙක් කිවුවේ මේක මළ ජරාවක්නේ කියලා. දැනුත් බොහෝ දෙනෙක් එහෙම කි‍යාවි. නමුත් අදටත්, හැමදාටමත් මුල්ම වතාවට කලුවරේ ලබපු මේ අත්දැකීම නම්, Real Horror අත්දැකීමක්! Trivia: * Oren Pelis directorial debut * The original ending was changed at the suggestion of Steven Spielberg * Filming was completed in 10 days. * Steven Spielberg had to stop watching the film halfway through on a home screener as he was genuinely spooked by the experience. He completed it in daylight hours the next day and loved it. * During the first test screenings, people started leaving the theater. Originally the crew thought this was because the film wasnt going over very well with its audience, only to discover that people left the auditorium because they couldnt handle the intensity of the piece. * The entire movie was filmed in Oren Pelis own home. * Oren Peli got the idea for the movie from a personal experience. Late at night he was sleeping and a box of detergent fell off the shelf. The box was pushed too far back for it to just tilt and fall. * Contains no opening or closing credits * Oren Peli shot the entire film with a home digital camera. * All the crew had to wear black clothes at all times so that no colored reflections would show up on the walls or wooden floors. * It beat Saw VI (2009) to the top of the box office charts, effectively bringing about the end of the Saw franchise. * All the special effects were practically done in-camera, enhanced by director Oren Peli on his PC.
