Pardon me, I know Im a few days late to this challenge, but I want to participate so Im going to play catch-up right now. My apologies. :) October 31 Day Movie Challenge, Day 1: First Performance that Comes to My Mind... Sebastian Stan as James Buchanan Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I was soooo impressed by his performance in CA: WS, I have been unable to shake one particular scene since I first watched the film way back in April. Im sure anyone who has seen the movie knows which scene Im talking about. I have since read a lot of opinions about the movie, and how secondary they made his character, especially for having his name right in the title. But I think that even with as much (or as little) screen time as he had, and even fewer lines, Sebastian Stan knocked it out of the park. I mean the guy literally acted most of his scenes with just his eyes. Who knew he was such a great actor?? I mean, I knew he was television good, but not movie good, if that makes sense. :P The mind-wipe scene just absolutely blew me away, and he didnt have to say a word...I still get chills every time I watch it. Needless to say, it made me want to see more of this character and I cannot wait for him to take over the Cap mantle (it helps that Bucky is one of my favorite comic book characters anyway, Im sure). I think Sebastian Stan will continue to make this Bucky fan proud... youtu.be/grovIcDEZ6Q
