Parents! What would you do if your nine year old took it upon himself to decide the bus wasnt coming, and tried to walk to school by himself (even though hes not allowed to leave the yard and knows it) without telling you, only to be found by the park and brought home by the cops? Im looking for serious answers here. This happened this morning with Blake. Before anybody responds please understand something; this isnt an autism thing, this is a nine year old kid thing. I have already told him he isnt going to be allowed to play outside alone anymore or wait for the bus out in the driveway anymore. Beyond that, I literally have NO ideas on how to really hammer home the point that this behavior is not okay. Consequences seem to have little to no effect these days.
