Parents, and anyone who works for a daycare, as an educator, or - TopicsExpress

Parents, and anyone who works for a daycare, as an educator, or for the Ministry of Human Services, lets talk about daycare and subsidies... Im having a bit of trouble securing full subsidy for my daughters care, since she attends a full time kindergarten program, one of the few in the city. Essentially, the problem is, she cant put in the required 100 hours per month at daycare because she is in school for most of the day, but because shes a kinder, she is still considered ECS. Therefore, the ministry insists that she only be classified as part-time, which would increase my portion and decrease my subsidy amount, due to her full-time kindergarten status. Can we talk about what Im missing here? I really want to understand this problem with some depth so that I can figure out which part of the policy is failing to allow for full day ECS in the subsidy program. Anyone?
