Parents and coaches! We are excited about our upcoming fall baseball and softball seasons!! I am excited to hear our park come alive again with the sound of our boys and girls playing ball!! Below you will find all the details for fall ball. Please help us pass the word!! Registration: Fall ball will be available for all age groups this fall. YES WE WILL HAVE TEE BALL NOW FOR FALL. I have a had a lot of inquiries on tee ball and we met this weekend and will be including it in fall this season. So we will have 3/4 tee-ball, 5/6 coach pitch, 7/8 coach pitch, 9/10 kids pitch, and 11/12 kids pitch. Registration will be $75.00 for ages 5-12 and $60.00 for tee-ball. Registration will cover a hat and jersey for each child with the childs name on the back of the jersey, plus the cost of running and maintaining the park for the season Registration will be held every Saturday in August (dates below) from 8AM till 11AM at the concession stand at the ball park. Saturday August 3rd Saturday August 10th Saturday August 17th Saturday August 24th Schedule: Fall ball will be for an 8 week season running from Sunday September 1st – Sunday October 20th. Games for fall ball are all played on Sunday afternoons between 1 and 5. Each team will play a 10 game season consisting of 2 double headers. The schedule is subject to change some depending on amount of teams and other factors. I will have a full game schedule out to all the week of August 26th. We will also be having a tournament to close the season the weekend of October 25-27. More details to come as the dates approach. Practices will be no more than a couple of times a week and field times will be scheduled and sent to all coaches. Gameplay: Fall ball is designed to be an instructional league and will be played that way this fall. We will meet with all of our coaches and stress that this will not be a competitive league like spring, but instead a time to let kids try new positions and learn more than anything. We will have umpires there for all games and games will be played under the same rules as spring. We will only have 1 umpire per field on ages 5-8 and 2 on 9-12. To help facilitate this we will be doing something’s as a park to cut down on the competitiveness and keep it instructional. We WILL NOT have scoreboards or park scorebooks. Teams are welcome to keep a book and score on their own, but remember we want this to be about learning not winning. We will also be playing with a hard clock. This is a necessary evil due to not having enough daylight. So please be understanding. Any questions or concerns on game play please feel free to email, text or call me anytime.
