Parents and educators on my friends list, I have a meeting with Jays principle and vice principle on Friday morning, what other solutions can I bring to the table. I have said maybe the child should only go half day because maybe full day is stressful, they arent considering that as an option. Any feedback is appreciated? Jay is being bullied at school. Hes come home 3 times now with marks on his body. I sat down with the principle after the second altercation, letting the first slide because I know how kids can be. The principle said well her parent has been informed that if this happens again, the child will be suspended. Yesterday, as I picked Jay up from school he had the saddest eyes ever I asked him what was wrong and he informed me it was nothing and tried to pull my arm away from going to the teacher (keep in mind he is four) my blood boiling I approached the teacher and asked why he had yet ANOTHER mark on his face and she said there was an incident. So I called the principle after school to find out how we were going to solve this. After almost 40 minutes on the phone she said the only option she could think of was moving MY son classrooms because the bully didnt gel while with a couple kids from the 3 other classes. Once I told her that was not an option because that is breaking trust with educators for my son at such a tender age she then said well I dont know what to do. Um how about investigate the child is in sk and already cant be moved classrooms because she dont gel well with kids from the other classes maybe she needs to see a guidance counselor. How dare they victim shame my son at 4 and try to already break the trust between him and educators at such a tender age. The principle doesnt seem to see moving Jay out of the class a problem. For whatever reason, she cant see that moving him will neurologically show him that when he is the victim of bullying or whatever the case that he can not trust an educator to speak on it. Sorry for the rant but I am furious.
