Parents, it is not solely the schools job to educate our kids. As parents we need to stay on top of whats happening, whats being learned, reinforce certain ideas and of course, be there for our kids in whatever they need help with. Leaving all of that to a school will leave your kid without the very best tools and that is counterproductive. Our job is to help them be the most successful they possibly can be. This cannot be achieved if you arent involved. Help them stay ahead of the curve by spending that quality homework time. GET INVOLVED. I am a little sad that so many parents not only dont know what is going on with their kids but they also seem perfectly ok not knowing. One of our jobs as parents is to help provide opportunity for our children. We cant expect our kids to care if we dont. Spend that time. Its more valuable than any tv show. Prioritize. Kids are the future.
