Parents of 200 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April 2014 are appealing directly to the United Nations after losing hope that the Nigerian government will rescue them. If the government cannot take action, we are asking for the UN to come in and help and if they reject, we just dont know what to do, said Reverend Enoch Mark, leader of the parents. The Nigerian government has stated that efforts to free the girls are ongoing.
