Parents of 4th and 5th graders: Friday is the deadline for Variety Show audition sign ups! Details: Parent commitment is required for all performers as this entirely volunteer run production. Each act must commit to rehearse once a week in addition to the full week leading up to the performances. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting December 2 and will continue until the final rehearsal week. February 9-12 are MANDATORY final rehearsal dates for all performers, no exceptions, with the show performances on February 13 and 14. With so many talented 4th and 5th graders it is impossible to feature every interested child. When putting together acts keep in mind that the focus this year is on group acts to better accommodate more children and keep the variety in the show. Examples of acts include songs, skits, dances, instruments and special skills. Please ensure ALL components of the act (lyrics, dance moves, jokes, etcetera) are appropriate for an elementary audience and the performance does not exceed 2 minutes in running length. Once the audition form is submitted a link to sign up for audition times will be available. The audition form will open on October 29 and close on November 7 at 5 pm. Please refrain from using the song The Best Day of My Life by American Authors as this will be our finale song. We cant wait to see all of the great acts from our talented 4th and 5th graders.
