Parents send their toddlers to schools with total faith that they would be safe as long as they are under care of their teachers.But the ugly and shocking incident reported from Bangalore exposes how unsafe our children are when they are away from their parents in the name of education. Private schools must be kept under total radar as how do they take care of our children. Any case of such barbaric treatment to children like locking up in a closed room, rape by school staff should be sufficient grounds to cancel the permission to run such schools besides criminally prosecuting the offenders with the stringent punishment so that it is a deterrent to others running such schools for profit making. In this reported incident the baby child has developed hatred for the male folk, so much so that she asks whether her papa is a good person ? The psychological shock she has received is highly damaging to build her psyche for the future. Four persons from the school including two lady teachers and one doctor are involved in this crime for which there should not be any delay bringing the culprits to book. The doctor is liable for having suppressed the incident after it was brought to his notice.
