Parks Volunteer Cleanup Day September 14 MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A Parks Volunteer Cleanup Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 14 at 9:00 a.m. at Ballinger Park located at 23000 Lakeview Drive. The Recreation Park Advisory Commission (RPAC) and the Neighborhood Park Improvement Subcommittee (NPIS) invites the community to join them for a park cleanup event that coincides with the National “Day of Service” in remembrance of September 11. The “Day of Service” encourages residents to volunteer in their community during the week of September 11. Volunteers, with gardening gloves and tools, should meet at Ballinger Park, 23000 Lakeview Drive, at 9:00 a.m. Groups should register with Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch in advance so assignments can be planned accordingly.
