Part 3 The Queenslander (Brisbane) Saturday 22 February 1908 Page 40 CONDENSED MILK. NEW FACTORY OPENED AT COLINTON. STANDARD DAIRY COMPANYS WORKS. After all present had inspected the building an excellent dinner was partaken of. Tables were laid upon the grass near the factory, the light of the moon being supplemented in picturesque fashion by strings of Chinese lanterns, the whole producing a very pleasant effect. Mr. C. Van de Velde presided, and those pre- sent included Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Moore (Colinton), the Misses Taylor (Bellevue). Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Patterson (Colcastar). Mrs. J. Harding (Ivorys Creek), Mr. and Mrs. Silas Harding and Miss Doris Harding, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harding, Messrs. Frisby, W. H. Buchanan, J. Davidson, R. Riddle, and Holland, Mr. and Mrs. H. Francis, Miss May Smith, Miss Pickles, Rev. W. J. Stevens (Esk), Mr., Mrs., and Miss Caffery, and many others. The toast of the King was duly honoured. Mr. T. H. Moore proposed Success to the Standard Dairy Company. He had lived in the district, he said, for twenty five years, and he knew something of the advantages which would accrue to them from the establishment of a factory such as this in their midst. All the company wanted was a plentiful supply of pure milk.
