Part four of the Puppy Love HC series and last one I have for now. Hermione woke up excited on the Saturday after her birthday. She and Sirius decided to meet in the Shrieking Shack after breakfast. She already told the boys that she was going to go to the Library to study for an upcoming exam in Ancient Runes. The boys made a face at that explanation. They decided to play Wizarding Chess and hang out with the boys from their dormitory. She quickly put on a pair of blue jeans and a nice grey shirt. She threw a red sweater over it because the weather turned chilly outside a little early to Hermione’s liking. Hermione went downstairs and met up with the boys and quickly ate her food and got up to leave when Ron asked, “In a hurry for the Library, Hermione?” Hermione looked at him and replied, “Yes, Ron. I just remembered that I have to get a project outline done for the Arithmancy class as well. Don’t worry about me for Lunch. I will grab something later. I promise.” Ron rolled his eyes as he nodded in understanding. Harry gave her a strange look. “What Harry?” “Nothing, Hermione, I just don’t want you to get worn out like you did last year,” said Harry. Hermione just gave him a caring smile and a nod as she walked out of the Great Hall. She made sure that Harry and Ron were busy talking to the others before she made a dash to the outside door. As soon as she shut the door and saw that no one was around, she slipped the invisibility cloak that she borrowed from Harry’s trunk before she came down the breakfast. She carefully made her way to the Whooping Willow tree and whispered for Crookshanks to hit the knot in the tree. She followed her cat through the hole and carefully stuffed the cloak into her bag as she made her way down to the shack. When she got to the hole at the shack, she carefully looked around before she climbed into the shack. She put her bag down by the stairs when she realized that Sirius must have been upstairs waiting for her. She yelled up the stairs, “Siri? Are you up there?” asked Hermione. “No, Hermione, I am right behind you,” said Sirius, making Hermione jump a mile off the ground. Sirius started laughing at her reaction. “I am sorry; Hun, but I couldn’t resist the temptation.” He pulled her in for a big hug before she could smack him for scaring her. When he pulled back, he gave her a long, hard kiss and said, “Happy Birthday, Love.” Hermione’s eyes softened at the greeting and said, “Thanks, Siri. Just don’t do that again,” as she gave him a light slap on the chest. “So what are we going to do?” Hermione looked into his soft grey eyes. “Well, my Love, that is up to you? We can go see your parents or we can just hang out here and talk and eat some of this food that I was able to get from France for us,” said Sirius with a smile. “OOO… French Food! How I have missed it!” exclaimed Hermione. “Well then, my lady. The room upstairs is reserved for two. Shall we?” asked Sirius as he gestured towards the stairs. Hermione smiled and carefully walked up the stairs to that room that she met Sirius in. When she opened the door, her jaw dropped. He had decorated it to look somewhat like Paris. He had a cut out of the Eiffel Tower and he set up a small round table for two with a tablecloth and two plush chairs. On the table, there was a single red rose, and two tapered candles lit. She turned around and pulled him in for a hard kiss that made him moan in her mouth. When they stopped kissing, she gave him big smile and said, “I love it and I love you, Siri!” “Well you deserve all this and more, love,” said Sirius with deep affection in his voice. “I stopped by your parents’ house and picked up your real birthday gift from them.” Hermione beamed at him. “Let’s have a seat, shall we?” Sirius steered her towards the table and pulled out a chair for her to sit in. He went around the table to sit across from her. She looked around the room and saw that there were two gifts waiting for her on the old bed that was in there before. He snapped his fingers to have the food pop onto the plates. He had gotten them Coq au Vin and rice pilaf with a Caesar salad on the side. There was some warm French bread with butter pats ready to serve. He had gotten them a small bottle of white wine. He also had Butterbeer for later. “Sirius! This looks wonderful!” said Hermione. “I hope you didn’t go into too much trouble for all this.” Sirius shook his head. “Good. I don’t want you at risk of being caught. I worry about you, Sirius, probably as much as Harry. He was so happy to finally get your letter although he wasn’t happy with the response.” Hermione laughed. “Does he worry a lot?” asked Sirius. Hermione nodded her head. “He is so like his father. James worried all the time about something even when it wasn’t relevant to him.” Hermione nodded in understanding. “Yeah he does. Heck he was giving me a look earlier before I came here,” said Hermione. Sirius tilted his head in curiosity so Hermione explained some more. “He was making sure that I eat properly and not fall into the pitfalls from last year. I was using a time timer for the year and it was driving me mad.” Sirius nodded his head in understanding. “Ah… I understand. I think Moony had one once and he was a bear all year especially when his furry issue was more pronounced,” explained Sirius. Hermione’s eyes grew wide. Sirius laughed at her expression. “Yeah, it wasn’t pretty but he ended up dropping a class or two after the year was done. I am assuming you did the same.” “Well sort of, I walked out of Divination and I dropped Muggle Studies after the final exam,” said Hermione and started chuckling at Sirius’s expression on her walking out. Sirius smiled and clapped his hands together and gestured towards the bed. “Shall we open your gifts, Hermione?” asked Sirius. Hermione smiled and nodded vigorously. “OK. I am going to give you your parents first.” Sirius got up and grabbed the two gifts as the plates disappeared from the table leaving room for him to put the gifts down. “Here you go.” He handed her a medium size package that felt a bit heavy. When she unwrapped it, she squealed. It was the newest notebook computer that she wanted. “I love those two so much,” exclaimed Hermione and then she sighed. “But I wish they would understand that I can’t have it here at Hogwarts. Can you take this back to them and tell them I love it and will use it when I get home during Christmas break.” Sirius nodded as he gave her his gift. This one was a lot smaller than her parents. It was shaped like a ring box but slightly longer. When she opened it, she had tears in her eyes. Sirius had gotten her a 14 karat gold locket with a heart shaped sapphire stone in the middle. When she opened it, it had a picture of Sirius and her from Paris that an artist took with his camera at the cafe. “Read the back, love,” whispered Sirius. Hermione looked up at him to see him nod towards the gift. “Okay, Sirius,” said Hermione. She flipped the locket over and it said in French, Mon Amour, meaning My Love. “Oh Sirius! It’s beautiful. You remembered my birthstone and I love the picture of us. I will never take this off. I will treasure it like I treasure you.” While she was saying this, she got up and walked around the table to sit on his lap. She leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on his lips. “Thank you! I love you to pieces.” When Sirius looked into her eyes, he saw the love and sincerity in her voice and her words. He wrapped his arms around her and gently picked her up to carry her over to the loveseat that was hidden by the bed. It was situated in front of a lit fireplace. He curled her into his lap as he sat down. He wasn’t going to let her go just yet. Once they got situated, the kissing started. Hermione turned her body so she was facing him with her knees on either side of him. She wrapped her arms around his head as she deepened the kisses. When air was finally needed, Sirius gazed into her smoldering brown eyes and said, “I love you, sweetheart. I don’t ever want to lose you.” Hermione’s heart melted at his heartfelt words. “I love you, too, Siri. I don’t even know what my life was like before you,” said Hermione full of passion and hope in her voice. “One thing though.” Sirius nodded. “Can we slow down just a tad?” Sirius tilted his head. “I love these kisses and everything but it is feeling a bit overwhelming for me. You do understand, right?” Sirius smiled and replied, “I am not going to rush into anything. I will let you set the pace. This is the first time in a long time that I have felt this way about anyone, Hermione.” Hermione looked into his stormy grey eyes and saw the truth in them. She gave a soft smile and said, “Thank you. I love the time that we have together but I have never experienced the intense feelings that I have with you and it just scares me sometimes.” “It will be fine, love and I understand you completely about the intensity of our togetherness,” said Sirius. “That is why I said we can go slowly. I want you to feel comfortable with what we are doing and I want to savor this time together with you anyways.” Hermione’s eyes softened at his words. “Thanks, Siri. I really appreciate it.” Sirius nodded. “I want to just sit here and cuddle with you and just talk about random things. Is that alright?” Sirius nodded as she slipped off his lap to get cozy next to him. They sat there for the rest of her day with him. They talked some more about their days at Hogwarts and what she was hoping to see with the Tournament that was starting soon. They did occasion snacked on food that would appear on the little coffee table in front of them. When it was getting close to dinner time, Hermione got up to stretch. Sirius groaned at the slight of her slim, smooth tummy that peaked out with the shirt rising. Hermione looked down at him and said, “I love you, Sirius Orion Black.” Sirius smiled back at her as he got up and said, “I love you, too, Hermione Jean Granger.” He leaned down to kiss her on her lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck to deep it once more before she left. When they broke apart, they stared into each other’s eyes and saw the love for each other. “Hermione, you should get back before Harry starts worrying about you.” Hermione groaned but nodded in agreement. “Yeah, since he has the map right now and if he can’t find me, he will go into a panic mode,” replied Hermione. “Please tell me we will get together soon, love.” Sirius nodded. “Great! I will let you know soon when the first Hogsmeade visit is and hopefully we can figure out how to meet up.” “Great idea, Hermione,” said Sirius. “Please keep sending me letters and food packages, ok?” “Sure but how did you arrange this?” asked Hermione. “I asked Remus to message the house elves at Hogwarts.” Hermione nodded. “He doesn’t know anything yet. I wanted to wait to see where we are going with this first before telling him.” Hermione let go a breath that she didn’t realize she was holding. “OK. Don’t forget to take the Notebook back to my parents’ house. Tell them I love them and I will write to them soon,” said Hermione as she gave him the computer to take with him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and gave him a big hug and reached up to kiss him sweetly one more time to say goodbye. “Love you, dear. Please be safe.” “I love you, too, Hermione. You be safe as well because I know it isn’t easy being a friend to a Potter,” replied Sirius. Hermione laughed as she gave him one last, hard kiss before she left the room to go downstairs to collect her bag before she crawled into the hole to rejoin Harry and Ron in the Great Hall for dinner. Sirius watched her leave with a smile on his face as he popped out of the room as the elves clean up the room. by: ~HMS Intel
