Part of Elder Clydes letter this week I wanted to share. So as a missionary you give a TON of blessings mostly to sisters cause they are a little more tender hearted but either way we give blessings all the time and sometimes you feel like wow that was a good blessing the spirit was defiantly speaking through me sometimes its like dang I dont feel like I had the spirit this time but a few nights ago sister Sowards a sister in my district needed a blessing, its her first holidays on the mission shes only been out 5 months and she will be the only one left in the district after this transfer, cause Im leaving sis. Stevenson is going home and the Bogalusa sisters are getting replaced by elders so itll just be her and she having a hard time with that, so she asked for a blessing well we gave her a blessing and it was one of those where I didnt feel like the spirit was talking through me... but last night after the devotional she came up to me and told me that in the blessing I gave her I ended up quoting word for word something that was in her patriarchal blessing and it was something she really needed to hear again!! So we all thought that was pretty cool! and it just goes to show that even sometimes when you dont feel like the spirit is there he always his and will always guide and direct you, and sometimes we over look it, we look and feel so hard for the spirit but we dont have to cause its a still small voice not something we have to really try hard to feel just like it talks about in 3 nephi 11:3 And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a SMALL VOICE it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn so my advice to you today dont try so hard to hear or feel the spirit that you dont allow yourself too. well I hope yall have a wonderful week Love, Elder Clyde
