Part of what made Sailor Moon Musicals so successful was the on-stage characterizations: Condensing an entire season into a few-hour musical wasnt an easy task. Yet you can see that each character got his/her distinct style - movements, gestures, postures, voice - and its done so well that even though youve never seen them move/sing/dance like that in the anime, you can see that the styles unmistakably fit their personalities & you can totally imagine their gestures like that if they were real! Its like you look at the actress and scream, Its Seiya!!! in your head. What a pity that these musicals are so old (~1998) that they arent available in DVDs anymore =/
