Partha Mukhopadhyay. - Thankyou Indias Mars mission evoked great response all over. I have been following the public mind since this afternoon. The British response is spend on poverty rather than on space. Its a clear jealousy as the Britishers cant take Indias leap easy where they ruled for 190 years!! The US public response is reasoned and usually supportive. One American mentioned that Indias constant advancement in space technology could give perfect forecast on recent super cyclone which saved thousand of lifes!! The system also helped the neighboring countries as well!! Admittedly, the most reasoned comment I saw from a Pakistani in Dawns comments section which says that like the premium software business worldwide, the huge 300 bn doller space business is in the waiting list for India with its low cost technology!! ISRO HAS CONTRIBUTED SCIENTIFICALLY BUT THE UPA GOVT. HAS STOOD WITH THEM FINANCIALLY AS WELL AS WITH ALL LOGISTIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT!! ITS A VERY BOLD ECONOMIC AS WELL AS POLITICAL DECISION!!
