Partly cloudy in Big Peach Country…Can’t help but laugh at all of the “new” soccer fans. I bet I’ve explained why the U.S advanced with a loss at least a dozen times. Yesterday while watching the Greece/Costa Rica match I thought that a lot of the terms used by the announcers that are confusing to these new fans. Those terms include, but are not limited to the following:…Offside trap, clean sheet, side net, top 90, far post, near post, playing a man down, stoppage time, additional time, a malicious tackle, over the top, free kick, corner kick, goal kick, penalty kick, etc. I’m sure some of my more learned Futbol fans can probably add to this list. One easy thing to remember from now until it‘s over; if you lose-you’re gone! Good luck USA!!
