Parts of the Gold Coast hit triple digits as South-East #Queensland dances in the Rain #Brisbane #Ipswich #SEQ #QLD #QLDWeather #QLDStorms #Floods Much of South-East Queensland has had its best Rainfall since March (the last Rain Event), and for many places.. more Rain fell in the space of 24 hours than that of March 29 to August 16 combined. Also to add to that, for some places like the Gold Coast Seaway, it was their best August Rain in over a decade and its all thanks to this Low Pressure Trough that moved in yesterday morning delving steady Rain over the course of the day and into the night. Its not surprising Isolated areas did top the triple figures, it seems to happen more than it doesnt in these events through South-East Queensland, but the spread of 50mm+ totals is probably what is getting every excited. From Gladstone to Coolangatta and continuing down to Port Macquarie in New South Wales, Rainfall was topping in excess of 50mm. So what were the totals? this will be a big list (which I have narrowed down to 75mm+), and NSW locations are listed with ,NSW behind them, so bare with me. • Bucca Weir 120mm • Ballina Airport, NSW 118mm • Carbrook 107mm • Lake Ainsworth, NSW 107mm • Couran 106mm • Pacific Pines 105mm • Lower Springbrook 103mm • Upper Springbrook 102mm • Oxenford 101mm • Tomewin - Tallowood 99mm • Flagstone Creek (Jimboomba) 96mm • Tallebudgera Creek 95mm • Biggera Creek Dam 94mm • Mount Cotton West 94mm • Beenleigh 93mm • Torbanlea 93mm • Bonogin 92mm • Mudgeeraba 92mm • Coombabah 91mm • Coomera Shores 91mm • Logan City 91mm • Ghost Hill 91mm • Maryborough 91mm • Steiglitz Wharf 89mm • Molendinar 88mm • Monterey Keys 88mm • Double Island Point 88mm • Loder Creek Dam 87mm • Gold Coast Seaway 86mm • Hartmann Bridge 86mm • Preistdale 85mm • Tallai 84mm • Booral Road 84mm • Railway Bridge 84mm • Mount Nimmel 83mm • Tallebudgera Creek Rd 83mm • Clearview 83mm • Bilambil Heights, NSW 81mm • Worongary Creek 81mm • Wolffdene 81mm • Clagiraba Rd 80mm • Tumbulgum, NSW 79mm • Hotham Creek 78mm • Mount Nebo 78mm • Takura Reservoir 78mm • Slacks Creek (Loganlea Rd) 78mm • Schmidts Rd 77mm • Bahrs Scrub 77mm • Mount Tamborine 77mm • Black Swamp 76mm • Lenthalls Dam 76mm • Burringbar, NSW 76mm • Tomewin 75mm • Stewarts Road 75mm Rainfall over this area of the Country is expected to ease today and it will end up turning into a fine and fairly average day.. apart from the damp ground you wouldnt even know it had Rained all day yesterday. 2 shots out of Barcaldine to show the Rain out West, the first is by Jane Whitfield, the second by Julianne Gorman. 3rd Image is by BoM of the Rainfall Map for the last 24 hours for QLD
