Party on the Lawn 2014 At last we can announce this years line-up and what a list of talent and lovelies it is. In celebration of our 20 years we are bringing together people we have worked with, have inspired us and have weaved their way through the fabric of our duo career both past, present and indeed, future. Weve taken on board all your feedback from last time saying there wasnt enough W&M so this year there is loads of us! The While and Matthews Band - our ultimate line-up and the bedrock of the last two studio albums - Howard Lees, Neil Fairclough, Bryan Hargreaves and guest singer Kellie While. (There will no doubt be other surprise guests take to the stage throughout the night) By way of tipping our hats to another of our past projects we will be performing a short Blue Tapestry set as well as our own songs and party songs. St Agnes Fountain - How could we not include a band that has been such an intrinsic part of our career for the last 13 years. No bah hum bugs please, get into the spirit and help us make this fun fun fun! While, Matthews and While. - weve started taking every opportunity we can to sing together, this is always very special. Our special guests this year are; Ashley Hutchings and Blair Dunlop - As Ashley was the person responsible for bringing Chris and I together through The Albion Band, it feels very fitting that he be a part of this day. Making it extra special for us, he will be performing (an exclusive for POTL in 2014) with his son, Blair Dunlop, a rising star, awesome talent, BBC Folk Award winner, plus we have known him all his life! Elbow Jane - A favourite of POTL and unsurprisingly as they are BRILLIANT. Chris Leslie - A rare and unique solo performance. Edwina Hayes - weve become huge fans of Edwina in the last few years and want you all to hear what we keep banging on about. What a voice. The Yirdbards - opening the day for us, a very talented local trio. There you have it......how can you resist? Remember, tickets are limited and we encourage you to book early as they will no doubt all be gone by June. Tickets will be on sale in the next few days, please watch this space.
