Pasighatians all set to accord a ceremonial reception to CM Tuki to hold ‘Cabinet Meeting’ at Pasighat PASIGHAT, Sept 28: The next cabinet meeting of the Nabam Tuki led government would finally take place at Pasighat, slated to spell out its policies on developmental issues. Chief Minister Nabam Tuki is set to arrive in the centurion town with his cabinet colleagues on Monday (Sept-29) to hold the full-fledged cabinet meeting for the first time, informed the Education Minister Tapang Taloh today in a consultative meeting, held in the DC’s conference hall. The meeting was attended by the Prl. Secretaries Alo Libang (PWD) and Tatung Jamoh (Industries), local MLA Kaling Moyong, DC Nidhi Srivastava, S Regon (ASP), ZPC Kaling Dai, Chief Councilor (PMC) Denong Tamuk, East Siang ABK President Okom Yosung, heads of offices and host public leaders. While stating that there would be many opportunities for Pasighatians, minister Taloh opined that CM Tuki has a special attachment with the people of Pasighat. His people friendly governance has always given special attentions in making Pasighat as educational hub. Tuki’s other efforts towards developments has widely been accepted by our society particular in health sector, road communication, electricity, employment generation, skill development, promotion of Adi socio-cultural affairs etc couldn’t be ruled out, he added. The Cabinet is the key-decision making body of the government and therefore more good fruits are expected from the ensuing Sept-29 cabinet meeting under the dynamic leadership of Tuki, he hoped. After taking stock of present status of the government departments, the education minister asked all the officers to present their grievances and proposals in written forms so that all important issues could be raised during the cabinet meeting. Expressing his concern about the 132 Kv Aalo-Pasighat tower line, the minister said we have lost many precious years and money during last nine years. However, this would be our last chance to translate our plan into reality for which 10 Crs. has been granted by the government. Lackadaisical attitude of engineers/officers would not be tolerated any more. DC under her leadership must constitute a monitoring committee comprising engineers, officers and members of PPWC to ensure that the recently allotted fund are used judiciously and complete the project on or before 31st March, 2015 next. A good amount would be allocated to JNC under RUSA to promote higher education. He while categorically focusing his views on proposed AdiSU’s bandh call on Sept-25 (demanding exclusion of Adi villages from proposed Lower Siang), Taloh said the present government was very much aware of the issues and quoting Chief Secretary’s official statement published in the local dailies, the minister hoped that a suitable and lasting solution would come up to resolve all contentious issues soon in the forth coming cabinet meeting. The ABK executives should come to the front and guide the said student union to call-off the bandh and divert their energies for welfare and development of the people. Giving a clarion call to all walks of life, Taloh said the day would be written in red letters in the history and gave suggestion to extend warmest and impressive reception to the state cabinet, showing traditional hospitality and generosity. Local MLA Kaling Moyong stated that it would be the prestigious moment for us and welcomed the initiatives. He assured to co-operate the district administration in full strength. East Siang Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Srivastava assured the minister that her supervision would help the officers and would leave no stone unturned in organizing the cabinet meeting very successfully and meaningfully. She would personally review every preparation of various departments, reducing all short of problems amicably. Earlier, EE(Power) N Taka informed that they have already started their works to achieve the goal timely. JNC Principal T Talom apprised the minister that shifting of JNC to lower campus would hamper the progresses of the college and there would chance to loss the status of “College with Potential with Excellence”, NAAC-“A” grade and various central financial assistances etc. JDHS (T&R) Dr. Kabang Lego informed that the hospital was fortified with sufficient doctors and sophisticated equipments but due to want of stabilized power supply most of the instruments could not be operated. People use to go to private clinics for various costly tests and investigations, every now and then. Special cares be taken by the cabinet to sanction CT scan machine and electrifications. Multi-storied buildings for casualty and Among others, ZPC Dai and CC (PMC) Tamuk also spoke on the occasion.
