Passing thoughts: As the election fever has gripped every nook and corner of the society. My observation regarding Bangladeshis (illegal immigrants) is as follows: Their influx to our country mainly in our state- Assam goes unchecked. Here, they get blue-collared job very easily. It is both because of the notion that we are either too lazy and too proud to take up the job of manual labors (I am yet to understand it fully). Whenever I ask them their hometown these labors reply Dhubri, replies which i dont believe. Anyway, all the labors who work in our commercial building are illegal immigrants, somehow over the years have settled well in this country. As a labor they are like robots, you just have to tell them and they finish the work for you, working patiently. Their thirst is the money which helps them to survive. Some of them even thrive. Any political party that promises a country free of illegal immigrants is a liar, no one has the balls to do the needful because of their own selfish reasons. I dont hate them because first of all when I look up to my countrymen I find no workers, and these illegal immigrants are easily available. Secondly, they are more dedicated and more concerned about exercising their rights of democracy (all the workers in the building have left to their respective places to vote). We need to ask ourselves, are we that much devoted while exercising our rights and responsibilities. One of the ways is to invade Bangladesh and make it an economic zone (just a passing thought), and then this problem of illegal foreigners will be gone, but we are too lame for that.
