Passion + fed-up & pissed off = This ...... The animal - TopicsExpress

Passion + fed-up & pissed off = This ...... The animal advocates of Genesee County, Flint, Michigan, have been pleading for change in their antiquated kill shelter system. Similar to LCAS, they have an animal shelter director and a board of county commissioners. If you watch the YouTube video at the bottom, you will clearly see their director is a killing machine ending the lives of approximately 15 pets per day. The unresponsive county commission will not implement the necessary changes the taxpayers demand on behalf of the shelter animals. Thus, the need for a Genesee County Animal Advocates fb page demanding for a change of leadership at the polls, this YouTube video imploring citizens to vote the bums out on August 5th, and this demonstration in front of the courthouse. Social media can be a powerful tool to get the word out and demonstrate the power in numbers theory. When elected officials empowered to implement change for the better ..... change that their constituents have asked for and have been asking for ... through emails, public records requests/documentation backing up their claims, speaking on the animals behalf at board meetings ..... with the end result being cast aside, neglected, & rejected, this is the next course of action. Hope it never gets to this. Its their call. By the way Lake County, 75 dogs were killed at your taxpayer funded shelter in June. 42 got the needle the first 22 days of July. With over a week to go, that number will obviously rise. Youre paying for the sodium pentobarbital that is injected to end their life, the food they are given leading up to their last day alive, the maintenance and upkeep of the shelter facility, the salaries of the shelter staff including the euthanasia tech who administers the lethal dose, the gasoline to fuel the truck to take the carcases to the county dump, the black plastic body bags the animals are stuffed in, just to name a few items your tax dollars go to support. Had enough senseless death yet? We CAN become a No Kill facility - with the right leadership. https://youtube/watch?v=wfDLeUXP3KY#t=69 https://facebook/AnimalAdvocatesofGeneseeCounty [email protected]; [email protected]; livi.stanford@dailycommercial; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; ericarodriguez@tribune
