Passover commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from enslavement in ancient Egypt, the strength of the Jewish people and the triumph of good over evil. Tonight, families and friends will gather across the country at their seder tables to share the story of the Exodus. It is a time to reflect on the many blessings we enjoy here in Canada and to remember those around the world who are still struggling to break free from the bonds of tyranny. On behalf of my family, I would like to extend best wishes to all those celebrating Passover in Canada and around the world.
