Past couple months this flu has been affecting everyone here in Tonga. At first Tongan Government and Dr.s diagnosed it was measles, german measles and dengue fever. Then test from NZ claimed common flu + joint aches with a severe rash. Finally, WHO confirms that all the above was wrong and it is CHIK FEVER or CHIKUNGUNYA-a viral disease transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes. It causes fever and severe joint pain. Other symptoms include muscle pain, headache, nausea, fatigue and rash. Wifey Lua is the last one in our house to get Chik Fever...Now I gotta play doctor.
