We have a great and wonderful God, a good and powerful God who fills us with love and compassion every day, every day. A God who has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor paid us according to our iniquities. So we have many great reasons and very powerful reasons for living and be grateful to our great God and heavenly Father. Luke 17: 11-19. 11 And it came to pass while on his way to Jerusalem, passing between [a] Samaria and Galilee, 12 and to enter into a certain village, there met him ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying: Jesus, Master! Have mercy on us! 14 When He saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves to the priests. And it happened as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, seeing that he was healed, turned, glorifying God in a loud voice. 16 And he fell on his face at Jesus feet [b] and thanked him and he was a Samaritan. 17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? And the other nine, where are they? 18 There are not found that returned no [c] to give glory to God except this foreigner? 19 And he said unto him, Arise and go; your faith has made you [d]. Prostrar- sujectarse the Lord I. What is Thanksgiving? Giving thanks is coming back (then one of them saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice v15) or returned with expressions or actions toward those who have done us a favor, and has given us support and made us all right; when someone gives us something, we go to him with a smile or a hug or words of appreciation and the more valuable the gift, favor or help we receive, big but it is our appreciation for those who give it to us. It is these actions and expressions that we or do we acknowledge the gesture and someone kindly toward us, that make us be thankful, and the lack of them make us ungrateful. II. Why should we give thanks to God? Thank God for his indescribable gift! 2nd Corinthians 9:15 But thank God the answer is a humble heart, a heart that does not forget and recognizes the wonderful blessings that God gives you. Giving or saying thank you is part of an education, but for us to give thanks to God must be a devotion. Every child of God should be grateful, we must express our lips with gratitude to God, we bless your name and give thanks actions. (Bless the Lord my soul and bless his holy my name Ps 103:.. 1) Make sure that all his life, his whole being, is an act of thanksgiving to God, let us not forget that we have many reasons why thank. Oh, yes we knew the gift of God and who it is that gives it! III. Why sometimes do not give thanks to God? Why are we not grateful? Have you ever thought about whether or not you thankful to God. One of the reasons we are thankful is precisely the lack of knowledge of all the things that God does for us. Another thing is the feelings of this world that come to dominate the heart, occupying the space that belongs to God IV. How can we be grateful and give thanks to God? The best way is as the Spirit says. 1. Expressions: open our lips, our mouths expressing kind words, prayers and praises. Always express gratitude to God becomes praise. He 13:15 so I always offer to God through Him, sacrifice of our lips giving thanks to his name 2. Actions: thanksgiving is to do is act. Stop doing what is wrong, is to give yourselves completely to God all areas of our lives is to give God all the glory, all control of our whole being, spirit, soul and body. Thanksgiving is doing the will of God and not our own. In Romans 12: 1 says, so I urge you brethren by the mercies of God to present your bodies as living, holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service is to leave a specific time, uninterrupted, undistracted, for God thanksgiving is a gift, that is a commitment, both monetary offering as the offering of our life is a thanksgiving.
