Todays sermon topic: Persistency of the Believer In Matthew 15:21-24 there was a DESPERATE Canaan woman who cried out to Jesus Christ to heal her demon possessed daughter. Christ didnt reach out to help the woman right away because she was considered a Gentile, & Jesus had been sent to rescue the lost sheep (children) of Israel. But the woman kept on begging & pleading with Jesus to help her & because of the womans persistency Jesus healed her daughter. Out of DESPERATION the Canaan woman remained PERSISTENT & Jesus acknowledged the woman as ONE OF GREAT FAITH. II Corinthians 12:10: When we are WEAK, God is STRONGEST in us. In summary: Our trials & tribulations help build our faith, as with the case of the Canaan woman. WE MUST ALWAYS BE PERSISTENT - FIRMLY ROOTED IN OUR FAITH. Proverbs 4:20-22: My son attend to my word; hear my word. DO NOT let my word depart from your eyes. Keep my word in your heart. Word is life and health to the flesh.
