Discovering Who God Is (The Great I Am) Exodus 3:9-14 ........ 14 God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.* Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.” What would happen if the church of the living God suddenly realized exactly who their God really is? God declared to Moses that his name was I Am, but what does that mean? What does it mean to be the Great I Am? · The I Am Is Omnicient · Omnicient simply means all knowing! In other words God knows all about it. · Before it happened, God knew it was going to. It means that he knows all possibilities in any situation–what could have happened and what will happen. · The I Am knows what you are going through, He knows what you will go through, He knows your thoughts before you think them, He knows your actions before you make them. The Great I Am knows your troubles before you face them, He knows your circumstances before you ever see them. So what does it all mean for you, it means Hes already prepared to help you get through them! · The I Am Is Omnipresent · Omnipresent means always there, wherever you go God is there. He is here and there at the same time. That means he is present everywhere at the same time. The psalm writer states that no matter where we go, God is there. · The omnipresence of The Great I Am means that you do not have to do life alone. · If you are on the mountain The Great I Am is there, If you are in the lowest place of your life The Great I Am is there, if you are in trouble The Great I Am is there, if youre being blessed The Great I Am is there, The Great I Am is always there! ·. The I Am Is Omnipotent · Omnipotent means all powerful. · God has the power to destroy all sin (which would require eliminating human imperfection), but he has chosen not to do so until the end of history. · So what does God use His power for? To work through those who faithfully allow Him to. · Gods power is made manifest through His people. · The Great I Am is the I Am of your power, all power to be the overcomes He has made you, all power to be the conqueror that he has made you, all power to defeat every enemy that comes against you.
